There is a catch to this station though, to gain access to this system, you must attain Elite rank in Combat, Exploration, Trade, or CQC. Located in the Shinrarta Dezhra system, the Jameson Memorial Orbis Starport offers a flat 10% discount on everything it has in-stock. That new price puts it right alongside its Federation counterpart, the Federal Corvette. At 208,969,451 CR, without a discount, after finding a system controlled by Denton Patreus and making the purchase, you will only have spent 188,072,506 CR on the ship. As an example of some savings to expect, we will use the Imperial Cutter as an example. You have to take it into account when do make it's weapon configuration and when you want to tear down some other agile, medium sized ships. These powers are always worth visiting when in the market for a new ship or modules to upgrade. Nothing can get out of your sight.Īs others say in this thread as well, convergence is the weak point of this ship. With an A grade power distributor and thruster you won't run out of juice if you put 4 pips on the engines when wait for the system to cool down. :) However doing an FA off turn is as fast as with the Vulture. Of course it has a lot of weight, i've learned it the hard way inbetween the asteroids. :) But if you want the Clipper to turn, she turns and doing it fast. Clipper's maneuverability as i see is the closest one to it. I haven't tried the FDS or any similar Fed. Want more info? Please ask! Thanks for reading, enjoy your new clippers! The courier is an awesome ship, and actually has better shields than a Clipper. You fly backwards FAST, and any ships chasing you are easily dropped into your sights and ready to be vaporized by your two large lasers. It takes a while to get used to, but you can kick some serious ass when you do. Start by practicing on some agile eagles and sidewinders, get a feel for how she turns, slows down, and boosts. Don't start off fighting at HAZRES or compromised beacons. Using them while turning allows you to whip your nose around insanely fast, sometimes even faster than a cobra or Viper with practice. I use two gimballed cannons, and with a bit of practice of when to shoot and when to wait, you can blow up an anacondas power plant with 3 lucky shots. They're actually quite overrated and don't do near as much damage as everyone thinks they do. Your medium hardpoints should probably be something other than two multicannons.

I personally run a beam and a pulse for the large hardpoints and it drains fairly slowly, but some go with two pulses or two bursts. It's power distributor is fairly powerful too. Use this as a huge advantage to slam into your enemies and wreck their shields- just don't forget 4 pips to systems.

In fact, its one of the fastest ships in the game (just behind the cobra). Many say this is bad, but it actually allows for a huge firing arc so you never have to worry about keeping your target above/under your nose so your weapons can hit them. Your large hardpoints are on the very end of your wings, and your mediums are about halfway between your large and the main part of the hull, under the wing.
#IMPERIAL CLIPPER GENERATOR#
Alot of people will get an A6 generator instead, its about as good as a B7, though more expensive This allows you to buy a big-ass shield generator that's expensive as hell, but holds up fairly well. Your Clipper is one of the 3 ships in the game with a size 7 compartment. I've been flying a Clipper for almost 2 months (total of about 300 hours, I'd say). Everyone seems to be getting clippers and not knowing what to do with them, so maybe this guide can help.
